Hey all. I have my Canon 518 Auto Zoom camera... it's beautiful, I've cleaned the lens and all is well. I'm ready to shoot my first roll of Kodachrome 40 (or would you guys recommend something else?) My only problem is... I don't have the film! Where can I purchase it? Do I have to order it online or do I call someone? Or can I probably pick it up locally and if so, where? HELP!

I definately recommend Kodachrome K40 to anyone, but especially to someone new to Super8. I believe that everybody, whether this is their favourite stock or not, would recommend this stock for a newcomer. It is the cheapest stock, process paid, classic Super8 look, fine grained and beautiful. It requires lots of light but is perfect for daytime outdoor shooting. Underexpose by one f stop for best results (ignore this advice if you don't already understand it).

Buy it from Kodak.com but get it process paid, as it's cheaper.

    Happy shooting

    Lucas
